REVIEWS: A Pale Debilitating Autumn |
| Subversive
Agenda Magazine (USA) Whimsical in their song structures, tempos, etc..., one is left awestruck! Even after repeated listenings, I can't help but just to sit in amazement at how talented this band is. I've read a couple different interviews on them, seen a number of reviews, and I tell you, much like with Beyond North, you just have to hear the band, to actually understand where my praise comes from. Stylewise, PAVOR are EXTREME technical death, with as much to offer as Atheist, yet with the brutality of Immolation, and the speed of Vader. Vocals are guttural, yet understandable and even with a form as "used" as this, they still come off with an original flair. Lyrics are written in a more "intellectual" style, that I find very appealing, and wish that this much care and obvious brain use were in order throughout the underground, and especially in the newer bands coming up. By far, one of the best new acts to emerge, and a killer debut release! Hail PAVOR! |
